Mountain Ash
Performing high-energy Classic Rock with passion and punch has long made Mountain Ash one of the Upper Midwest’s favorite bands. From small clubs to giant festivals they’ve wowed a multitude of ages and audiences, appealing to anyone with a taste for straight-up rock-n-roll and a respect for “deep cuts” by timeless artists.
Formed in 1973 in Kenyon, Minnesota, founding members Roger “Rogar” Anderson and Mark Kirchhoff anchor the band with a contagious mix of untamed antics and six-string flair, respectively. With Kevin Abernathy (guitar/vocals), Brandon Fjetland (drums) and Jon James (bass) also in solid orbit, this enduring band of brothers continues to evolve and remain strongly in demand, having opened concert stages for a wide array of leading acts: Alice Cooper, Boston, Def Leppard, Poison, Cheap Trick, Journey, Skid Row, Ratt, Ted Nugent, Tesla, Vince Neil, REO Speedwagon, Joan Jett, Slaughter, Head East, Loverboy, Eric Burdon, 38-Special, Grand Funk Railroad, Starship, Foghat and The Little River Band.
